Res4City

The RES4CITY project, a part of the Horizon programme funded by the European Union, focuses on enhancing the development of sustainable renewables and fuel technologies in urban areas. Central to this initiative is the implementation of a Learning Management System (LMS) and Content Management System (CMS) based on OpenEDX. These platforms serve as innovative educational tools co-designed with stakeholders to address knowledge and skills gaps crucial for the successful energy transition in cities. With a consortium of 18 partners across 8 EU countries and Switzerland, RES4CITY aims to fill the educational gap and prepare a highly skilled workforce to contribute to the green transition.

Data Extraction and Filtering Tool (DEFT)

The Data Extraction and Filtering Tool (DEFT) is a comprehensive solution developed for a US-based energy research institute (NDA). Designed to address the challenges posed by shifting weather patterns on power system operations, DEFT serves as a scenario and adequacy analysis tool. It leverages extensive weather data repositories and incorporates modeling capabilities alongside a workflow execution engine. DEFT enables complex energy systems adequacy and risk scenario analysis while facilitating data pre-processing tasks. By utilizing AI to predict weather patterns, the tool aims to mitigate unnecessary energy consumption from power plants, ultimately reducing carbon emissions and contributing to a zero-carbon future.

RenOnBill ERV-Tool

RenOnBill is a financing project supported by the European Union's Horizon 2020 programme. It aims to increase the renovation rate for energy-saving projects in Europe by 2-3 times. The project utilizes on-bill calculations and simulations to quantify cash flow and risk associated with planned renovation projects. Ultimately, RenOnBill contributes to the EU's long-term goal of lowering greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 80% by 2050.
